Shi Tuo fame in the 30s of the 20th century, known to the world of fiction. Academic made his novels more systematic study, but less concerned about the prose works.Shi Tuo prose records the course of his unique spirit, displaying a rich inner world.A comprehensive study of Shi Tuo's prose works will help us to realize the richness of him. Nihilism in the Chinese literature, has always been no lack of examples of the ancient poet; often after experiencing frustration, they will express with poetry that life is short and like a dream.This article aims to study his prose, probe into his empty experience and thus generated consciousness of life and life forms.Besides the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into three chapters.Introduction. Mainly from the research methods and directions of the existing research results of Shi Tuo's prose, sort out the problems and shortcomings.Chapter I,Shi Tuo's view of life. Analyse his understanding and outlook on life and the statute of his life choices. The vast Wilderness is entrusted with the thought of him that life is free; ruthless time makes his know life is a one-way; he also acknowledge that life has a variety of possibilities.Chapter II,the images of nothingness. Mainly from a few symbolic images, analysts Shi Tuo's sense of emptiness and its literary representation."Mother and Child" images convey a sense of emptiness of life without love; "on the road" carries the thought that spirit without home is wandering; "grave" has become a symbol of anonymous death.Chapter III, the meaning world of nothingness. Shi Tuo's prose focuse on a variety of existent styles and life forms of characters, and thus trace his understanding of emptiness and disillusionment. Conclusion. Concludes and summarizes the inadequate of thought and research.
