The ancient political thought in China is the integration of political and ethical, Confucianism has the biggest influence in the ancient China. As the mainstream ideology in the feudal society, Confucianism not only occupies an important position in the traditional Chinese ethics thought, but also it has a very important meaning in present administrative ethical construction of china.Administrative ethic thought is an important part of Confucianism; it connotation is extensive and profound. Confucianism emphasizes'governing with morals','people oriented','appoint people on their merit','administrative justice', etc. History shows that as a major thinking headspring, they play an important role in the development of Chinese administrative system. Meantime, it provides an important guidance to the present administrative ethics construction.it is one of the basic thoughts resources of current administrative ethics research of China.This article mainly aiming the aspect of the backgrounds, the main ideas and the modern meaning of Confucianism administrative ethic thought, detailed analyzing the Administrative ethic thoughts of Confucius, Mencius and Xun Zi, who are typical representatives of Confucianism. Based on the current situation of Chinese public administration, to demonstrate, as an important part of traditional theory of public administrative ethics, it plays an important role on the present Administrative Ethics Thought construction of china. At the same time, because of the special period of Confucianism, it inevitably has some aspect ,which is not suitable for modern public administration building, therefore, we should hold on a rational attitude, inherit the Confucian ethics thought critically, absorb its positive aspect for modern administrative ethics, and overcome its negative aspects. Combining the Confucianism administrative ethic thoughts and the practical situation of current administrative ethical practice,so as to developing an administrative ethic thought, which right suitable for China's public administration, and has Chinese characteristics.
