Study On Modern Chinese Two-Syllable Adjective Grammatical Formation Reduplication Pattern ABB And Related Patterns

The nature of ABB type,is generally believed by grammar scholars that mainly monosyllabic adjective or adjective morpheme A (a small number of terms are, of noun, noun morpheme,verb or verb morpheme )plus the suffix BB bring ABB,and later in"the vivid forms of adjective"from"800 Words in Modern Chinese",Lv Shuxiang said,Most of ABB patterns are constituted by A plus BB,but some can be considered to be constituted by the AB plus B. We can conclude that there are 2 different situations in ABB pattern:the first ABB pattern is word-formation reduplication and the second one is grammatical formation reduplication, and the latter is the target of this thesis. The thesis is composed of 5 chapters.Chapterâ… discusses the significance of the topic,the current situation of research, research theories and methods which the paper adopts,and the resources of the sentences in the paper introduced hereby.Chapter II describe and discuss the nature of the ground pattern BA and AB,structure type,semantic classification and description of prosodic features to show that what feature two-syllable adjective ground pattern BA and AB have would probably make BA and AB enter the ABB grammatical formation reduplication .Chapter III by comparing the ground pattern BA and AB with the reduplication pattern ABB in collocation with the adverb"very"and negative adverb"no",as well as for adverbial,and for clauses,we try to show that grammar meaning of grammatical formation reduplication ABB:the degree quantity changes and the subjective quantity increases.Chapter IV general reduplication pattern of the ground pattern AB is AABB,and the one of BA is BABA,but ABB is the common reduplication pattern which they have, in this chapter through the comparison of AABB, BABA and ABB in the syntax and grammar meaning,we show the relationship between the degree of the adjective reduplication pattern and syntactic constituents.Chapter V through the grammaticalization of adjective reduplication patterns,we point out the work to continue in the future.
