The Syntactic And Semantic Analysis Of "V Guo Lai" Structure And The Study Of Grammaticalization Of "Guo Lai"

This paper takes"V Guo lai"structure which is used frequently in Modern Chinese as surveying object, including semantic analysis, syntactic analysis, grammatical analysis and comparative analysis of"V Guo lai".Based on the precious research ,this paper has an overall description of synchronic study of"V Guo lai", and divide"Guo lai"into three basic semantic types: the space position-movement meaning, the state position-movement meaning and time position-movement meaning. We distinguish the different meanings of"Guo lai'by using the theory of"process"of the verb. Based on the principle of form and meaning integrated,We find out the corresponding relation between deep semantic contents and surface syntactic structure .And we classify the types of the verb which are suitable for the"V Guo lai"structure .We also try to find some mark that"V Guo lai"indicated different meanings. So, it can be operated easily.Then this paper analyzes the syntax characteristic and sentence configuration of"V Guo lai". We start from the meaning of the sentence configuration and classify the sentence configuration of"V Guo lai".We find some formal characteristic while we classify, and we try to make every category different from others by their forms. We check the form and meaning from each other, then we have a further research on the meaning and characteristic of"V Guo lai".Meanwhile, from the diachronic angle, this paper discussed the regularity of the appearance and development of the"V Guo lai"structure. And describe the process of the"V Guo lai"which from the basic meaning to the extended meaning, and we try to analyze the grammatical and limited motivations of"V Guo lai"from the cognitive and semantic angles. We think"VGuo lai"is in the middle stage of grammaticalization, the grammaticalization of"V Guo lai"is still in lower stage.Finally, we compare the meaning of"V Guo lai"with the relevant structures"V Guo qu". We think when they show the basic meaning such as space position-movement meaning, there are symmetrical usages. But when they show extended meanings an state position-movement meaning , their usages are not symmetrical.
