The research about impacts of different strategy of emotion regulation on memory is a hot topic. Researchers did a lot of research around this topic and got many achievements. In accordance with the type of memory material these achievements can be classified into:emotional material and education material. Emotional materials have strong emotional colors and usually related to the emotional content. But education material presented in the educational environment does not have any emotional color (positive emotion or negative emotion). In abroad, researchers, represented by Gross, explored through a series of research the impact of emotional regulation strategies on memory of emotional material. However, research about the impact of different emotion regulation strategies on memory of educational materials rarely involved. Emotion regulation is a frequent phenomenon in daily teaching activities, and closed to teaching activities. The research to explore which emotion regulation strategies can improve or destroy memory of education material is very important.In the choice of emotion regulation strategies, In negative emotion state we choosed cognitive reappraisal,Expression suppression and no emotion regulation; and then in positive emotion state we choosed cognitive rummination expression revealing and no emotion regulation. For the educational materials, it joined emotion enagement strategy. Emotion enagement strategy is a more popular in the school. Compared to cognitive reappraisal, Expression suppression and other strategies, it is enagement strategy.It refers that students explored the causes and results of emotion, and then find an effective solution. This strategy allows the individual to make a reasonable interpretation of events, thus enhances the individual's control of events. Although it may increase short-term emotional feeling, but in a long term it is benefit to individual's physical and mental health. It is one of innovation of this study.The paper discussed impacts of different strategies of emotion regulation on memory in positive and negative emotional state. Study is between subjects design. In two emotional states, four kinds of emotion regulation strategies* Sex (male, female). In negative emotion state we choosed four kinds of strategy of regulation:emotion enagement. cognitive reappraisal, expression suppression and no emotion regulation; and then in positive emotion state we choosed:emotion enagement, cognitive rummination expression revealing and no emotion regulation Study followed the rule: the positive/negative emotion video materials—assessed the level of emotion—instruction of emotion regulation strategy—watched education video and tested—reported effect of using self-regulation strategy. The results showed that:(1) In the negative emotion state using the cognitive reappraisal strategy was better than the others, and the diffrence between them was remarkable;(2) In positive emotion state, using cognitive rummination and expression revealing strategy was better than other strategies, but no remarkable difference was found between them; Using emotional enagement strategy impaired memory of educational materials.(3) Therefore, the findings suggest that strategy of emotion regulationwas not useful strategy for regulation emotion in educational setting.
