In the chaos, the rapidly changing twentieth century, Western music has undergone great changes ever. This spectacular art of the revolutionary vision of human civilization, pulled a so-called "Modernism" and "Postmodernism" in Cultural Context. In which we have tried to read too many unknown things. Today, as we stand on the twenty-first century, stands up review of 100 years of time has passed, we pleasantly surprised to find that:the wheel of history in the run over the years has left deep marks. This trace is the style of Western music from the Romantic to the modern style of the development process.Western music from the Romantic to the modern style, not change things overnight, but after the transmission and development of many musicians, and finally evolved into what we have seen this pattern. The historical background, philosophical and aesthetic thought, the musicians and their own aesthetic, and scientific and technological advance in the form of music, content and style, had a great influence to the traditional form of romantic music, and in which the gradual disintegration of a new birth of modern music structure of the seeds. Guided by the humanistic ideas of the Romantic spirit in the twentieth century as a kind of freedom of expression, to abandon the law and rules, to reject tradition and the "modern spirit." This modern spirit is man's constant pursuit of freedom of the outcome, but also the romantic spirit of the continuation and deepening of the product. Therefore, the romantic music to modern music changes are inevitable. Remove the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into three sections, focusing on the second chapter. Article first chapter of Western Romantic music and modern music style of the twentieth century, characterized by an overall discussion of and generalization; in the second chapter, the author of two kinds of musical styles into a three-pronged course of study, these three areas are:the inevitable trend of progress of the times, musicians, creative development process perspective, music and techniques in the nineteenth century and the twentieth century, the transmission and variation between. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the Romantic music to modern music, the reasons for change and, in concluding remarks, made its own conclusions and judgments.I believe that:Any kind of art categories are the product of the human spiritual civilization, it is always accompanied by the development of human society with the times, music and art were the same. We want Western music in the nineteenth century and the twentieth century, this great change into between the socio-political, economic and cultural vision in to recognize and analyze it. And development of a dialectical perspective to look at the changing style of the emergence of new sound, new phenomena and new elements, with a more rational attitude towards the twenty-first century, Western music creation and research.
