A Study Of The Proto-porcelain Of Zhou Dynasty In Anhui Region

According to the present materials of archaeological surveys and excavations, Chinese proto-porcelain in Dynasties Shang and Zhou is located in mainly two reagions:North Region which center on the middle and lower reaches of Yellow River; South Region which center on the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River Proto-porcelains in North Region were discovered earlier,so related researches were advanced,In southern, along with the development of archaeological excavation in recent years, proto-porcelains and related problems have become research projects urgent to be resolved.The purpose of this paper is to collect materials about proto-porcelains of Zhou Dynasty found in Anhui region and put them in order.With the archaeology typology method, proto-porcelains of Zhou Dynasty in Anhui were devided into 19 kinds. And compared with characteristics of proto-porcelains in the same period in Jiangsu and Zhejiang region, their types,changes and age were discussed.According to the above work,the age of them can be inferred to four periods:The first period is:Early Western Zhou and Middle Western Zhou period;The second is:Late Western Zhou and Early Spring&Autumn period;The third is:Middle Spring&Autumn and Late Spring&Autumn period;The forth is:Warring States period.At the same time,the traits in the whole and distinguishing features in different period were summed up.And their beginning,development,transmission,analyse the inter-relations between them and hardpottern with impressed patterns,moud tombs also were discussed.The structure of this paper is as follow:Partâ… The introduction.Including its significance in academics.The history and status quo of this problem,the basic content,theory and methods.Partâ…¡Proto-porcelains of Zhou Dynasty in Anhui were divided into different kinds and period,then their characteristics were analysed.
