Innovation Design Research On Mongolian Yurt

Mongolian yurts are products of combination and evolution of drought geographical features and traditional nomadic culture in Mongolian Plateau, and also reflect the rich features of local culture of architecture. In the way of excavation, protection and innovative development of grassland culture heritage, Mongolian yurts need pressing protection and have special exploitation values as unique local-style dwellings which adapt to the nomadic life in grasslands. In view of characteristics of the Mongolian yurt, this study raises some strategies for protection and development of Mongolian yurts based on adjustments of grazing patterns, protection and popularization of the products, innovation of the technology and analysis of aesthetic.
