Study On The Folk Psychology In Traditional Auspicious Patterns

Traditional auspicious patterns are the significant form of fork art,meanwhile,they are the visual externality of Chinses folk psychology.Auspicious patterns spread over almost every aspect of life in streets and marketplaces, to a certain extent, they reflect the people's psychological needs and their pursuits of life. Auspicious patterns are reflecting the expression of folk psychology and aesthetics of today's values and people's spiritual life. Research auspicious patterns in the form of folk psychological characteristics, content characteristics, influencing factors, and social function which can promote Chinese culture and foster a healthy and positive lifestyle pursuit of great significance.The thesis is consisted of five parts totally.The first part describes the introduction which explains briefly the reason why choose this title,the significance of research,present status of the research and the way of research and finally propose research questions of this thesis.The second part defines the concept of auspicious patterns, folk custom,folk psychology,which limit the scope of the following thesis and provide the basis.The third part mainly discusses social and cultural factors which can affect the form of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns,summarizing out these three reasons: primitive religion and totem worship,belief ,Chinese traditional culture.The fourth part is the the focal point of this thesis,issuing the performance of folk psychology in auspicious patterns which focuses on the form and the content these two aspects.The performance of the form can express as random free modeling method,vivid expression of the mode, orbicular symmetrical composition, the bright warm colors pursuit.The content can express as life pursuit of fortune, longevity,happiness, the continuous worship of the procreation,and the gentleman character. More than 70 pieces of representative auspicious patterns are included in this thesis, which generalizes the folk psychology conveyed by auspicious patterns,reflecting happiness, personality orientation, aesthetic as well as enbodying general population typical way of thinking and ideals.The fifth part discusses the auspicious patterns in the folk psychology of educational function, aesthetic function and psychological compensation.The thesis affirms the positive healthy features,meanwhile,it points out that the negative factors including times, changing, practical, utilitarian nature.With the development of the society and the change of people's aesthetic,the folk psychology should be positively enhancing as the custom's changing.It is the only way that auspicious patterns invite the booming vitality in the new era,flaming out the fresh life of force.
