Research On Folk Propitious Patterns Of Han Nationality

The Chinese traditional auspicious patterns take a very important role in Chinese auspicious culture. The auspicious patterns are the art of old and modern traditional artistic class in daily life. We can better understand the mental consciousness, thinking habit, value orientation, aesthetic interest of the people and make contribution to develop a harmonious society by studying the auspicious patterns. Therefore, the research on Chinese traditional auspicious patterns has historic value and practical significance. Apart from the introduction and additional illustration, the thesis is divided into four chapters.The first part studies the meaning of auspicious philology and gives the definition of auspicious patterns to prescribe a limit to the following exposition. Then it discusses the development and succession of the auspicious patterns. Especially the national group and the regional nature should be worth emphasizing.The second part discusses the cultural mentalities of the auspicious patterns which expresses the Chinese people's theory of happiness and the view of life. The part greatly emphasizes the reproductive worship of more descendants, more happiness. In conclusion, this part discusses the philosophy foundation of the Chinese traditional auspicious patterns.The third part discusses the creative law of the traditional auspicious patterns. Then this part makes a conclusion that the traditional auspicious patterns are belong to molding conception which followed a set of stylized system, such as harmonic tone, symbolization, metaphor, exaggeration, deformation, etc. This conception makes people express themselves by using observing object and extracting image, instead of the objective reflection.The forth part discusses the social function of the traditional auspicious patterns from three aspects of aesthetic conception and education, to blaze and compensate, economic factor. Then this part points out how to borrow critically from the past andreform the traditional auspicious patterns with the development of market economy.
