Grammaticalization Of "tur-"in Uyghur Language

Tur-is served as a verb also an auxiliary in modern uyghur language,which can express plentiful meaning.In the long history,the "tur-" developed and enriched from single meaning and usage to plentiful meaning and plentiful usage.The paper,in the sense of diachronic analysis to synchronic description,interpret tur-'diachrony evolution and explain the differences in the synchronic aspect.From ancient times,tur-has a higher frequency of usage,tur-is a verb with single meaning in ancient uyghur language,with the developing of language,it evolved from pure verb to conjunctions and other grammatic elements.The paper mainly apply cognitive linguistics,pragmatics and grammaticalization to interpret "tur-"evolution process and explain the phenomenon of definition expansion procedure.In the same time,by summaring and analysising the relationship between tur-'vocabulary meaning and grammatic function in each period,probe into tur-'motivation and mechanism of grammaticalization.The paper is divided into four section:First section is an introduction,it mainly introduced the present situation,importance,methods of the study and the source of language material;second section is mainly introduced the process of "tur-"grammaticalization;the third section is mainly an analyse of the grammaticalization motivation and mechanism of "tur-";the last section are some theoretical consideration about the grammaticalization motivation and mechanism of "tur-".The innovation of the article consists of 4 points:1,The traditional train of thought in the uighur language studying is make a description from a static,closed,or self-contained description of the system in the synchronic aspect.The paper is combining diachrony analysis and synchronic description to study it.2,The paper has drawed on the experience of modern linguistic theories,such as: cognitive linguistics,grammaticalization,to analyse and explain the evolution of tur-.Through the introduction of tur-in uyghur,we can introduce the modern linguistics.3,The paper has tried to applying the common features and mechanisms of human languages to uyghur language.Meantime my has tried my best to unearth the unique grammatical character in uyghur language.4,The paper has studied the grammaticalization process and its motivation and mechanism of at the same time,the paper interpreted the phenomenon of definition expansion definition lessen and definition changes in uighur language.
