Confirmatory Study The Three-dimensional Structure Theory Of Emotional Intelligence Based On Chinese Idioms

Xu Yuanli adopted video and questionnaire scale to study and confirm Three-dimensional Structure Theory of Emotional Intelligence when he constructed the theory, the results show the theory conception is scientific and reasonable. Recently Zhang Jian.etc has established the enterprise staff mood intelligence questionnaire to confirm and study its'structure model, which showed that it is suitable, reasonable and scientific under the organization background. This research further confirms Three-dimensional Structure Theory of Emotional Intelligence also has universality and scientificity under the cultural context. Based on previous researches, there is no relevant validation studies on emotional intelligence by means of essential Chinese idioms.Purpose:According to the operational definitions of emotional intelligence Xu Yuanli gave, we select some idioms containing the ideas of emotional intelligence from Chinese Idioms Dictionary in order to confirm that the idea has rooted in Chinese Culture and Language, determine the fundamental dimensions of emotional intelligence and verifies the consistent level between the dimension of idioms containing the ideas of emotional intelligence and that of three-dimensional structure combination theory.Methods:We establish the Three-dimensional Structure Suestionnaires of Emotional Intelligence, select participants from the undergraduates and graduate students from XinYang Normal University, test the reliability and validity using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 18.0 to exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis the dates.The results:Results shows that the scale of each factor and reliability Cronbach alpha coefficients is more than.85, explore three dimensions of emotional intelligence contained in Chinese idioms which are operations, object and content; Among three aspects of operation dimensions-awareness and experience, evaluation and expression and regulation and control, the contents of evaluation and expression are more than those of other two factors; From object dimension we get a information factor facing others while it can be reasonably explained; Chinese idioms may contain neutral emotional information different from our two-dimensional division in content dimension of three-dimensional structure theory of emotional intelligence which are positive and negative emotion. According to Confirmatory analysis, the maximum of the structure model of GFI,AGFI,CFI,TLI,NFI,IFI is 0.989,the minimum is 0.882,which almost meet the requirement of metrology, above 0.9; CMIN/DF requires less is better, the maximum and the minimum of the dates we get are 2.089 and 1.499.RMSEA(Sector = 0.08) shows that the maximum and the minimum are 0.067 and 0.039, all test dates are close to the saturation model which has better goodness of fit. It proves that the construct validity we explore is good and consistent with hypothesis, the model we establish according to three-dimensional structure theory of emotional intelligence is not refused.Conclusion:the scales have good reliability and validity, basically complying with the requirements of psychometric. Chinese idioms contain the dimensions of emotional intelligence which conform to the dimension of three-dimensional structure theory of emotional intelligence. Our research hypothesis has been verified and we achieve the expected purposes.
