Comparative Analysis Of Chinese And Russian Idioms,Related To Human Intelligence

The first chapter is the introduction part,where we show the theories and methods used in the research as well as related to the topic foreign and domestic studies.Analysis of them proves that this field has not studied sufficiently enough.In this chapter we also set the research objective: to determine similarities,differencies and national cultural characteristics of idioms,describing human intelligence in the Russian and Chinese languages.The second chapter introduces the nature of idioms,as well as their concepts,characteristics and different classifications in Russian and Chinese linguistics.In addition,we show the main differences and similarities between idioms in these two languages.Both Russian and Chinese linguists think that the common features of idioms are stability,meaning integrity of the components and reproducibility in speech.The distinguishing feature of Russian idioms is that they are mainly used in spoken language.As for Chinese idioms,they always have four-character structure.In this chapter we also carefully analyze the methods of translating Russian and Chinese idioms.The third and fourth chapters describe Russian and Chinese idioms,related to human intelligence.We divided all our research material of two languages into nine identical groups.Besides,with the help of methods from the third part we translated Russian and Chinese idioms and wrote to all of them examples of use.We also made a statistical analysis of Russian and Chinese idioms and determined their particularities.The fifth chapter shows a detailed and rigorous analysis of the Russian and Chinese idioms,describing human intelligence.We made their quantitative analysis,compared them from the aspects of language and culture,determined the similarities and differences of each group.The main similarities between Russian and Chinese idioms are in the aspects of outlook(the five sense organs,knowledge quantity and memory are related to horizon),eloquence(expressed by "pen" and "tongue"),and origin(the "fable" and "mental" idioms).The other similarity is that many Russian and Chinese idioms have the "head" component.We found the differences of idioms in positive,negative,and componental aspects.Besides,the existence of some full and part equivalents of idioms in the Russian and Chinese languages proves that two cultures,two nations have some common concepts about human intelligence.The sixth chapter shows some recommendations of how to teach foreighners Russian and Chinese idioms.The seventh chapter is the conclusion of the research,we summare all the previous parts,point out the main similarities,differences and special particularities of Russian and Chinese idioms,describing human intelligence.
