The Complement of State is one of important points of TCSL. First, the Complement of State is often used in modern Chinese, and is a unique grammar point which cannot be found in other languages. Second, the indications of the Complement of State are complex. Third, the Complement of State is related with "ba" phrase and "bei" phrase which is one of premises to learn these two phrases. This research attempts to compare multimedia teaching and traditional teaching modes to explore the diffulculty in learning the Complement of State. It also tries to explore if the multimedia teaching mode can reduce the difficulty and errors and find appropriate teaching methods at last.This research is divided into four parts. The first part expounds the motivation and significance of writing this thesis and introduces the previous researches in this field. The following two parts present the theoretical bases and their functions towards this research. It also expounds the method,tools and process etc.. Based on modern education technique theory, construction theory and multimedia cognitive theory, this research combines the Complement of State and multimedia technology together. By testing and contrasting, the research sets out from the phrasing structure, meaning and pragmatic use and analyzes the results of teaching the complement of state under traditional and multimedia environment. Then it provides some concrete tips for TCSL.The last chapter comes up with suggestions on the complement of state's teaching methods. In addition, it mentions the limitation of this research.The conclusion of this research is that the multimedia teaching has no significant effect on the simple complement of state's structure, meaning, pragmatic use and comprehensive teaching. In the structure of the complicated complement of state, there's no significant difference between the effects of the two teaching methods. Multimedia has great effect on meaning, pragmatic use and comprehensive teaching of the complicated Complement of State. The effects of applying multimedia have significant correlation with its interest, but has no significant correlation with multimedia's attraction attention.
