This paper mainly focuses on the confusing predicate-complement structure "V Wan and V Hao",and makes a comparative analysis to find out the similarities and differences between the two and point out the purpose of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly summarizes the relevant research results of the complement structure "V Wan,V Hao".The second chapter makes a comparative analysis of "V Wan and V Hao " from syntax,semantics and pragmatics to find out their similarities and differences.The main conclusions are as follows:on the syntactic features,the similarities between the two are mainly strong predication the differences are mainly reflected in the different restrictions on the choice of verb's autonomy,instantaneity,commendation and derogatory.In terms of semantic features,they can indicate the completion of actions,but there are differences in subjective and objective understanding,emphasis of connotation,single and plural number of subject components and general reference.In terms of pragmatic characteristics,they have the same meaning in the sentence and are often the focus of expression,but there are differences in text position,psychological presupposition and stylistic style.The third chapter summarizes the four types of errors;omissions,additions,misuses and mispronunciations,produced by Chinese learners using complement structure,"V Wan and V Hao",based on the error materials such as questionnaires and corpora for overseas students.The fourth chapter analyzes the five causes of errors,namely,negative transfer of mother tongue knowledge,irrational learning strategies,individual factors of learners,and the influence of classroom teaching.It also puts forward some teaching suggestions and teaching designs around the three elements of teaching activities,"teachers,students,and teaching materials",providing some help for foreign students to learn this confusing predicate-complement structure,and providing some references for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language to teach this knowledge point,so as to promote the teaching of grammatical knowledge points such as predicate-complement structure and resultant complement in Chinese.
