Exploration In Transition

All along, Wu Jianren, Li Po-yuan, and a class of writers as "Novels" home are well-known; They only seem to leave future generations a great reputation of "Four Novels of the Late Qing Dynasty". Most studies focus on "condemns the novelist," as well as representative, attaches significance of the critical exposure and novel technique innovation. As a "fiction giant" in late Qing period, the title of Wu's "condemnation of writers," is not an honor, but a yoke. Wu Jianren will be framed in the title and the static status, while ignoring the dynamic changes of Wu Jianren, and Mixture of traditional and modern Reflected by his works. There are many innovative and explore skills in Wu Jianren's novels, but also some new novel type, which make contribution to the modernization of the Chinese novel.This article focuses on the two changes in writing career of Wu Jianren. Describes Wu's main literary activities and analyzes the motivation of changes according to the evolution of the dynamic status form the tabloid writers to professional writers. I will try to understand the identity of the creation according to Wu Jianren representative works of different periods. Finally I will attempt to grasp the collective choice and memories of them and find their modern historical special role.
