"gai"(该)is a very important Huaiyuan dialects mood particle, it can be used in the sentence, can also be used in the end of the sentence. "gai" high frequency used in the sentence, can be expressed pause, prompt, soothing mood, highlighting topics. "gai" used in the end of the sentence is also very flexible and can be used in declarative sentences, exclamatory, interrogative and imperative end of the sentence. "gai" to the choice of sentence types is also very free. And in Huaiyuan dialects "gai" can be used in some special formats, such as "ke(可)VP/A gai", "VP/A bu(不)VP/A gai", "VV gai"and "ni(你)VP ni(你)gai" and so on. In addition, the word "gai" and other words used in conjunction mood is a major feature of Huaiyuan dialect, with other words used in conjunction mood, it always appears behind other mood particle, generally without exception. Often "gai" used in conjunction with the"lai"(来),"di"(滴), "lao"(咾).Thegeneral idea is, first, describing the usage of "gai", seeing it in a variety of sentence types and special format; then comparing with other Huaiyuan dialect' words, obtaining mood of the "gai" in the use of personality; Finally, based on the mood of the word "gai" in the description of syntactic distribution, as well as "gai" and other mood particle contrast, We believe that Huaiyuan Dialect "gai" is a multi-mood particle. First, "gai" used in the sentence, expressing a kind of soothing mood, and reminding the listener to pay attention to the role;Second,used in the back of Exclamation, expressing soothing mood or surprisjing mood; Third, in end of the sentence, according to the different classes in the distribution of sentence,the mood can be summarized into four categories: 1, used in the end of Doubt Sentences, exploring deeper mood; 2, used in exclamatory sentences at the end, to strengthen sigh mood; 3,used in the end of the sentence with the imperative to express a kind of relaxed mood; 4, used in the end of declarative sentences, conveying a kind of dissatisfaction mood.
