Ji zi xing was the diplomatic corps assigned by Korea to deal with affairs of the Qing Dynasty.The primary mission of it was to carry Diplomatic Instruments and submit to the Ministry of Rites of Qing Dynasty, handling specific matters of the frontier areas. Because of the large quantity of the Ji zi xing, it is often ignored in the study of China-Korea relations in the Qing Dynasty, and there is little record in the historical materials of China. Referring to the historical material of the Korea, mainly Tong Wen Guan Zhi and Tong Wen Hui Kao, this paper makes an analytical study of the institution related to Ji zi xing, and using case study method and mutation analysis, it also probes into the mission of Ji zi xing. Though putting Ji zi xing back into the Qing Dynasty-Korea relations, this article also tries to reveal the important role of it.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction. On the basis of former researches, the author introduces the research background, research significance and research methodologies and the structure of this paper.The second chapter discusses the establishment of the Grant and Tribute Relationship between Qing dynasty and Korea. In this part, the author also introduces in detail the different kinds of diplomatic corps assigned by Korea and the related institutions.The third chapter elaborates the specific content of Ji zi xing. Based on Tong Wen Guan Zhi, Tong Wen Hui Kao and related historical materials, this part particularly inquires the definition, personnel structure, reception rules and the assignment of Ji zi xing, especially the trade practices and the Qing dynasty and Korea's management of Ji zi xing.The fourth chapter deals with the relationship between Qing dynasty and Korea. This part tries hard to draw some conclusions by the analysis of the typical case of the mission of Ji zi xing. The author summarizes the foregoing cases and anylyzes the change of it. Meanwhile, though putting Ji zi xing back into the Qing Dynasty-Korea relations. This article also tries to reveal the important role of it.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Formally, Ji zi xing can be identified with ceremonial envoys. As a summary, Ji zi xing is a special system of practical things between Qing dynasty and Korea by the research. But the attitude to Ji xi xing, which is deem as a common diplomatic corps by Qing dynasty, but as a practical measure by Korea, is different.
