The Ancient remains of Six Dynasties were subdivided into four episodes by this article: the East Wu-early in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Song-Qi Dynasties, the Liang-Chen Dynasties. It is the analysis based on developmental trajectories of tombs'forms and typical funerary objects. These ancient remains indicated that a lot of people were living in the areas such as the southern slopes of Five Ridges, the basins of Guijang River, Hejiang River and Xijiang River, as well as the Pearl River Delta Area. Population in Chaozhou-Shantou region area had increased in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, too. In contrast, the Coastal Region of Beibu Gulf had declined rapidly in this period. It was the production of many related factors, such as the natural environment, politics and economics. The more positive factors have, the longer stability an area can keep, or this area will encounter development obstacles, even decline.
