The Type Of Mode Adverb And Its Function In

Mode adverb is a special kind in adverb system.Grammar community don't have a consistent idea of them.They needs further researched.We select<左传>as researching object,and summarize the usages of mode adverb in<左传>exhaustively.There are 30 mode adverbs and they refer to 284 use cases in<左传>.We distinguish mode adverb from adverb and adjective according to different function and means.And divide them into 11 kinds according to different means. We research the modified object of mode adverb basis on classification. Through analyzing the modified object of mode adverbs,we find that 83.78% mode adverbs can modify the transitive verb of type jia,32.43% mode adverbs can modify the transitive verb of type bing In<左传>.In addition,we still analyze the order of mode adverbs and other words, when they use as adverbial modifiers together,the mode adverb always is on top. we hope that we master mode adverbs'function feature in ancient times and provide a new basis for mode adverbs'research., through analyzing mode adverbs in<左传>exhaustively.
