As one of the most famous novel which gave an account of characters in ancient, Shi Shuo Xin Yu vividly recorded the words and actions of scholars in Wei-Jin period and widely reflected the social life from the late Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms, then to Wei-Jin period.As the distinguished people in that time, the mien of the Wei-Jin scholars was expressed by their aesthetic-oriented life. Wei-Jin period was the very first era that people were totally just be themselves in Chinese history, and it was a era that aesthetic revived, too. The aesthetic life of Wei-Jin scholars can be simply summed up as Wei-Jin Style.The first chapter mainly wrote the appreciation of characters and the scholars'aesthetic life. Firstly, the thesis quoted the conceptions about talent, then introduced the probable status of the appreciation of the characters in Wei-Jin period. Secondly, it illustrated the aesthetic life concretely. Thirdly, it explained the opposition between the life style and the temporal social environment, so we can gave a right eye to the times' condition as well as the external condition. Finally, the thesis analysised how the Taoism gave an impact on the scholars universally. This is a macro investigation and research.The second chapter summed up the types of talent. It grasped the characters'figure and thoughts so that we can get hold of the history from Shi Shuo Xin Yu in its limited space. The scholars in Shi Shuo Xin Yu were divided into three types of talent:historic clue person, important advisers and extraordinary person. First, to analyze the main character of the history.In this regard,we are going to explain case of Cao-cao as talent.Secondly,to illustrate case of counsellor.The typical of this type of talents is Xie-An.Thirdly, to explain outstanding talents in every field of Wei-Jin Period.The third chapter explained the same and rebellion between talent view of Shi Shuo Xin Yu and modern time through making comparison and analysis. Firstly, it made a rough scan for the employment standards of Chinese and foreign corporation, and chose the accepted universal ones from them. Secondly, it abstracted the employment standards of Shi Shuo Xin Yu, which were the condensation of current thought and mien, some of them are still valuable at present time. In the end, it explained that the rebellion such as prattle and erriness that survived in that particular social and culture background didn't suit for modern time.
