Latter He Wei "Classification of Zhongyuan Mandarin (Manuscript)" (2005) attributed the dialect of Pei County and other five counties of Xuzhou to the Xu Huai cluster of Zhongyuan Mandarin, based on the tone value difference and the ancient group "jing(精)"and"jian(见)" reading now.It is obviously that Pei County dialect should belong to which dialect cluster of the Zhongyuan Mandarin presented the inconsistent view in the past; and that whether the Pei County dialect, Tongshan dialect and Feng County dialect should belong to the same cluster have different viewpoints.In addition, according to preliminary studies of myself, the Pei County dialect have obvious internal discrepancies between south cluster and north cluster, but to these language fact our predecessor has not yet done the overall statistical survey, description and thorough discussion. This article plans from three aspects of the pronunciation, the glossary and the grammar to carry on the overall statistical survey and description to the Pei County dialect, unearths the internal difference of Pei County dialect thoroughly, and provide some scientific evidence for solving the problem of the classification of Zhongyuan Mandarin.The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. to the evolution of Pei County, its geographical position and the administrative regionalization as well as the language survey. This chapter also introduces the material and mark as well as the co-worker of pronunciation used in this article, and teases the related researching results. Chapter two, describes the phonetic system of the dialect of Pei County, compares north cluster and south cluster of Pei County dialect, and generalizes internal consistency and differences of Pei County dialect.
