The Lexicalization And Grammaticalization Of "Ganshuo" In Henan Shangqiu's Dialect

This paper analyses a large number of corpus about"ganshuo"in the Shangqiu dialect.And this paper also research the lexicalization,grammaticajjzation and motivatin of this word. In"ganshuo","shuo"is a verb which meaing of speak,"gan"pertain to"shuo",and have a negative from,sucha as"bu ganshuo"and"mei ganshuo".But in this paper,"ganshuo"has been lexicalized,"gan"and"shuo"have close connection and which not involoved any other element .It also hasn't negative form."Shuo"is about to express the speaker's speech or a third party's mental activity.By analyzing the context of the sentence structure, the semantics, and function of"ganshuo",and combination of the language of ancient chinese language for material and modern chinese word of Peking University,expecially the research of the case in the novels of Ming and Qing's dynasties. From such analysis, this paper ascends the origin and evolution of"ganshuo",we can find because of the understandings,drivers and internal factors,"ganshuo"experienced a kind of evolution such as lexicalization and grammaticajjzation. It has subjectivism which can be inserted as a parenthesis,and it also can be used as a discourse marker.From above analysis, we can find that although nowadays"ganshuo"only active in modern north languagh expecially in Shangqiu dialect. But it is not completely eliminated in modern chinese mandarin.In modern chinese"wo ganshuo"should be evolved by"ganshuo",and it continued to express the subjective evaluation .At last ,this paper also research the motivation and mechanisms of"ganshuo"'s lexicalization and grammaticajjzation.
