| In rencent year, with the continuous deepening of language research,accomplishments on the Uyghur text level appeared in large numbers, indicating a great progress in the text level of Uyghur. this paper is to use the relevant result in modern Uygur language pronoun "bu/u", which is the most common indicative words. in the past, this king of reseach is from traditional syntax. However, when put into text level, "bu/u" can play a key role in coherence. According to Halliday, there are four cohesive devices:reference,ellipsis,lexical cohesion and conjunction.Among which reference is the most important. this essay is an analysis of "bu/u", drawing from a large amount of real texts. this paper is devided into five parts:Recalling the previous texts the main directions of reseach results as well as pronouns can still study at, and pointed out that "bu/u"in the text on the important role of convergence; second text of "bu/u"text in the function-back to that role; a detailed description of its dominant anaphora, implicit anaphora, as well as referring back to the same place in the performance, function and distribution of tendency; third text deals with "bu/u"refer to the text in the pre-function, a detailed study refers to aspects of its pre-the ferformance,function and distribution; fourth text studies "bu/u+NP"textin the structure function, to sum up their ferformance and functionality. text Fivth is the full text studies a summary and draw some kind of revelation.
