Prehistoric period accounts for a large proportion in human history, and China is rich in prehistoric sites. Scene reappearance is one of the most important methods commonly used in the prehistoric culture exhibiton. Scene reappearance is not simply an artistic creation, but a serious scientific work. Which archaeological information does scene reappearance need? Which prehistoric archaeological information can be achieved at present? How should archaeology be carried out? How do the desingers use the information, when having access to the support of the archaeological information? This thesis aims to build a bridge between prehistoric archaeology and scene reappearance, so that archaeology can provide more information and scene reappearance can interpret better the prehistoric culture. This thesis shows that the elements needed in the scene reappearance of prehistoric culture exhibition include environment, people, production, life, ideology and so on.Achaeology is not digging up treasures, but acquiring information, achaeologists should have the sense of collecting and spreading information in the phrases of field excavation.Prehistoric culture exhibition reconstructs a relativly ture history, so the desingers should make full use of achaeological information, to reconstruct the relativly ture scenes to utmost extent. Sometimes when we can not get enough information form a single remains unit or we want to present the design by a certain perspective, we can make rational combinations according to Weber's "ideal type", based on the achaeological information.
