Frescoes of color painting in graves of Wei and Jin Dynasties excavated in Jiayuguan are typical in the study of graves unearthed in Hexi region. It not only has great significance in studying social lives, economic condition and funeral customs, but also provides new important information statistics to the study on activities of social customs, physical culture at that time. The article makes a classification and discussion on what concerns physical culture according to the statistics of those that were discovered up to now in the graves of Wei and Jin Dynasties excavated in Jiayuguan.Firstly, The article summarizes the current study and discovery of graves of Wei and Jin Dynasties excavated in Jiayuguan, then systematically sorts out and classifies what concern physical information in 8 fresco tombs, and makes an introductory discussion on the original thought and social background reflected in the fresco tombs by combining historical data.Secondly, The period of Wei and Jin Dynasties is the most turbulent age in politics and the most active age in academic research after the pre-Qin days in Chinese history, during which people gradually broke through the trammels of the thoughts of the two Hans and set up a new trend of thinking named dark learning, for the class of scholars then, the development of dark learning contributed to open their mind and free their spirits, this change had an impact on people's involvement in life entertainments and preserving health. The article makes a study on three aspects of the effects that dark learning had on physical thought of preserving health, the entertainment of sports in Wei and Jin Dynasties and the emancipation of women's physical thought to further understand the physical thought and its exiting significance in Wei and Jin and South and North Dynasties.Thirdly, The state of chaos and the great blending of nationalities in Wei and Jin Dynasties promoted the exchange and development of national cultures. We have demonstrated the blending and evolution of customs, sports and artistic cultures of Hexi region in Wei and Jing Dynasties by combining pictures and information reflected in the fresco tombs with historical data. The following is the concrete thesis:1. the interactional permeation of cultures of Hu and Han nationalities in "Riding and Shooting in Hu Costume"2. The interpretation of physical culture in worship of Han nationality in graves of Wei and Jin Dynasties in Hexi region3. The blending and permeation of music, dance and arts of various dramas4. The bow and arrow culture and its social popularity in Wei and Jin Dynasties...
