Study On Archaic Words In HongTong Dialect

The basic work of archaic words in dialect research is to find the origin of the chaism from the diachronic perspective. The content of this thesisdeveloped from twochaptes. Chapter one is the introduction, which mainly introduces the actuality of archaic words significance and the research methodologies of this thesis. The main contents of this paper are included in the second chapter, that is, combining the ancient literature it investigates the classified archaic words in Hongdong dialect from the two aspects of pronunciation and meaning.We have made a textual research of sorting on 115 words,which includs, astronomy (2 words), seasonal (7 words), farming (2 words), plant (1 words), animal (3 words), housing apparatus (6 words), character (5 words), title (5 words), body (5 words), medical disease (3 words), wearing clothes (2 words), diet (3 words), customs (3 words), daily life (1 words), communication (1 words), commercial (1 words), action (35 words), location (1 words), adjective (22 words), adverb, preposition (5 words), quantifier (2 words), four-character (2 words).
