Language is an important tool for human communication, people communicate through language, the appellation is that people in the verbal communication used to greet each other between the expression of words, in everyday life and social occasions occupy an important position.Appellation language study is important because the use of the title phrase represents the two sides, social status, in other words, the use of a particular language titles could easily identify the title and a person being called the relationship between. Called the use of language not only reflects the cultural level of those communication, but also to reflect the title and a person being called the identity status, age, closeness, and many other factors, differences in the use of language title also features of the times and cultural factors.Since ancient times, South Korea and China continue to face the impact of traditional confucian culture, and therefore the use of languages also have many similarities, the appellation is no exception, but from a traditional society to modern society, the development process, have been used as part of words be retained, and the other was replaced by the new words. The appellation in different languages with their own national culture influenced and constraints each other, Chinese and Korean have their own characteristics. In this thesis, the appellation as a community center, China and South Korea's social title of a comparative study language. The forms of appellation terms are divided into direct and indirect address terms. Specifically, there are five types of appellation terms such as appellation terms of common designation, of names, of job titles, of pseudo-relative of places, and of attention. Each form is classified more specifically and its characteristics are compared and described. Through this comparative study of the social appellation, we can understand similarities and differences in the social appellation between two languages. I hope this study helps contribute to better communication between Korean and Chinese people.
