For China and Korea, the two different countries under the similar eastern culture environment, it is always an important aspect of comparison research field to compare their language and culture. The study of the differences in the culture and language usage of their social terms also plays an important role.In this thesis, I tried to make analysis and comparison studies of modern Chinese and Korean social terms from professional terms,statue terms,fictive use of kinship terms and general terms four aspects. And due to the relationship with social terms, I make comparison analysis of Chinese and Korean languages on the form of address of names, which belong to the field of form of address. And at the same time, from the view of changing from social and cultural, I make analysis of affecting aspects that society to language. So hope this thesis can be a little help to the research of Chinese teaching for the foreigners.The thesis divides into three parts. The first part is Introduction. It states: 1) generally tells the language background of this topic, expectation of this writing and the basic frames of the whole paper; 2) the research survey from different views of former research; 3) the innovation spots and the difficult spots of the thesis.The second part is the body which includes three aspects: 1) conception and system of social terms;2) under the modern Chinese and Korean language background, trying contrast in four aspects: occupation terms,duty status terms,fictive use of kinship terms and general terms.; 3) comparison analysis of modern Chinese and Korean on the name terms, which belongs to the field of addressing terms.The third part is conclusion that author trying to make from social development,cultural inheritance and connection between society and language.
