It is the significance of image research that literature works capture the infinite significance through the limited events, and then pointing to the deep themes of the works, merging intangible feelings and physical sceneries, corresponding metaphysic and material.Dream description has been paid close attention since ancient times, so it has a long literary tradition. A large number of image descriptions that appeared by the form of "dream" or even by the theme of "dream" form the unique literary unit. As the research deepened, "dream images" have become significant entry points for understanding the literature works.Dream images used in Tang-cong Ci are the kind of spectacular literary phenomenon. As the literary elements of Tang-song Ci, dream images not only have rich expressiveness tension, but also carry certain aesthetic patterns and spirit of the time within social atmosphere. Currently, academic research on dream images in Tang-song Ci mostly focused on the appreciation of the works or the introduction of the writers. Thus, these researches just concentrate on the specific dream significance for the specific text or the specific context. As a result, it needs further study that dream images significance for the literature quality and the aesthetic implication.With language characters of repetition, recreation and evolution, it is feasible as well as effective to use pattern languages to abstract and summarize literature works of dreams in Tang-song Ci. As schema theory or explanation program, the literature image model emphasizes the organized psychological pictures that the environment of images stored in the memory; also it emphasizes the processing of image information or the organized structure of the environment. To investigate the abovementioned issues, the paper focuses on the situation mode research on the dream images in Tang-song Ci. Through the perspectives of the pattern of dream image, the author aims to comprehensively analyzes the manifestations, construction methods and aesthetic mechanisms of the dream images situation, in an attempt to expands the vision to literary creation, aesthetic taste, outlook of the times and humanism in Tang-song era.Specifically, the situation mode of dream images in Tang-song Ci fall into the following five parts: The first part sets up the framework for the study. On one hand, a systematic presentation of the current situation and features of key technical branches concerned is given, and the social and academic backgrounds of the study are explored so that the disciplinary support, orientation and technical line, as well as the aim, scope, strategy and significance of the study are clearly identified. On the other hand, through the multi-dimensional, multi-level exploratory research, the evaluation subjects, objects, purposes and methods are specified. The second, third, fourth and fifth part is the main substances of the paper. In terms of traditional of literary, type of literary, intention of writing and transmission of affection, the second part investigates the combination elements with dream images and Tang- song Ci, and properly discusses the reasonable factors of the existence on dream images in Tang- song Ci. Integrated with the different plot of the dream and combined with the time, social, historical and cultural information that it contains, the third part extract the relevant pattern language of the dream images situation. The fourth part employs literature potential of dream images, text layout and organization and collocation of dream situations to discuss the internal formation mechanism of dream images situation such as presentation skills and writing rules, etc. The fifth part develops the aesthetic impact of dream images situation in different style ci works by summarizing the overall arts features of them. In this paper, the second part is the bedding of the necessary information related to the topic. The third and fourth part emphasis on the literary quality of dream images situation, while the fifth part focuses on the investigation of the aesthetic quality. Through the analysis of the literary quality and aesthetic characteristics in two dimensions, the fifth part tries to obtain a comprehensive understanding and in-depth grasp of dream images in Tang-cong Ci.Starting with the situation mode of dream images, the paper, for the first time ever, integrates the regional, cultural, and time-specific features and attempts pattern languages for the description of dream in Tang-song Ci. The expected research on the situation mode of dream images in Tang-song Ci is to have a deepen understanding of the literary creation and aesthetic meaning of dream images, to enrich and expand the study field of images, dream literature and Tang-song Ci, as well as to highlight the significance of social reality of the aesthetic literature and arts.
