Literature translation is actually a kind of re-creation.Many famous translators of literature, such as Wang Rongpei and Xu Yuanchong, have been carrying out their own "Re-creation" translation theories in their literature translation practice, especially in Poems and Ci Poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties.Translators' contributions between different cultures,in fact, are mirrored in the translation activities.Especially their understanding of source languages, the cognition of source cultures, and their foreign language proficiencies may comprehensively determine their inclination of the source culture and the quality of the translation works.More or less,in some translated works there really exists personalized translation.Among them, many poems such as the "Maple Bridge Night Mooring"(??????)and "Bells Ringing in the Rain"(?????)are both representative works of Poems and Ci Poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties respectively written by Zhang Ji of the Tang Dynasty and Liu Yong of the Song Dynasty. Many brilliant images in these classic poems such as "moon slants","ravens croak","bank maple","fishing glows","Cicadas chill, drearily shrill" "morning breeze" and "waning moon" are striking to us.The rich images of the Poems and Ci Poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties are showing their unique fascinating allure when we are trying to share the Chinese culture with the world. This paper aims to provide a new perspective of images'analysis in poetry translation research with pioneering significance in the guidance of theatre philosophy and it falls into four chapters. The introduction of the first chapter begins with the theory of "Creative Treason" initiated by the French literary sociologist Robert Escarpit in his book Sociologie de la Litteature, hereby the relationship between poetry and theatre is succinctly elaborated with the example of Shakespeare's dramatic poetry works, which starts from the Poetics—the origin of the theatre. It also emphasizes on the theatre theories' enlightenment for the poem readers and translators. Then, the second chapter focuses on the illustration of the Symbolism in plays not in literature. At the same time,it also introduces the Theatre of the Absurd that inherits from it where images' capture from the Symbolim and its construction from the Theatre of the Absurd hereby are basically elaborated. The third chapter analyzes certainly selected translated works of Poems and Ci Poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties by some famous translation masters in the light of theatrical Symbolism and the Absurd theory. This chapter makes distinctive analysis between the traditional perspective of the linguistics and the novel theories of theatre philosophy—how it could construct the concrete images, and then explores how it strengthens the interpretation and translation of Poems and Ci Poetry of the Tang and Song Dynasties with the principles of theatre philosophy. The last chapter summarizes this study's originality and limitations.
