German philosopher Gadamer's known by his philosophical hermeneutics of ideology. He combined the theory of Plato's dialogues, Aristotle's practical philosophy, Hegel's absolute idea of the dialectic, Husserl's phenomenology and Heidegger's ontology, coupled with criticism of the traditional hermeneutics of inheritance, and constructed his philosophy based on the area of practice, but a purely speculative. The "Truth and Method" and the "philosophical hermeneutics" are the main contributions in this field. Gadamer break through and beyond the traditional dichotomy of epistemology in the understanding of subject and object model, but interpretted the mutual understanding between subjects. The traditional Hermeneutics emphasizes understanding of the nature and objectivity of the object, focusing on understanding the main objective of the objects, while Gadamer understood the subject and object as two-way interactive communication. Understanding of the object is another subject of dialogue, understanding is not subject to the object-sided reflection, but a broad sense of dialogue. Understanding of the object of "Horizon" and understanding of the subject of "visions" achieve the "fusion of horizons" through dialogue, and will integrate the ongoing dialogue, showing understanding of openness. The "Foresight" and "Time distance" does not constitute an obstacle to understanding, but rather to be existence of understand and present "truth" of the condition.At first, Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics has been widely used in literature in translation, and confirms the existence of the phenomenon of cultural filtering in translation theory, highlighting the initiative and creativity of the translator, pointing the meaning of the text retranslation. However, with the film as an art going on the stage of history in the 19th century, the film adaptation of the novel has also emerged on, the film of the novel's "re-translation" is also attracted people's attention. This article attempts to explain the science applied to the field of film adaptation, to provide a theoretical basis for the director, to provide a new theoretical perspective the film adaptationLiterary text was adapted into film, theater or other forms, no doubt enriched the academic study of intertextuality. However, from the film adaptation of the novel from the date of emergence, the issue of the film directors'status in the adaptation was raised, the director should be fully respected novels, fiction to repeat? In the 80's, by the further development of Chinese film, for the Fifth Generation directors, they also want a strong-minded, thinking creators have to speak, but Zhang Yimou is one such leader, he has the strong main, strong sense of participation, the characteristics of strong performance.Mo Yan's novel "Red Sorghum" was creatively re-interpretated, by borrowing fiction story of a little plot point to express their thoughts and emotions, eventually the film into a very coherent with the original novel things, made a huge success.This article relies on hermeneutics, makes the hermeneutics used in the field of film adaptation of the novel, emphasizes the director's subjective thinking. Including five parts:the preamble briefly expounded today on the film adaptation of the novel theory point of view and methods, this study leads to the theory of support point and the entry point. The first chapter is sort out and explains the theory of interpretation. Hermeneutics combing the development context, to learn from the classical interpretation to traditional interpretation to modern interpretation of hermeneutics, then to learn a developing line of analysis to understand the concept of evolution, and their view of Gadamer's understanding of the impact, and from the "Foresight", "Time Distance" and "Fusion of horizons" three concepts to introducted Gadamer's "understanding of the historic". The second chapter is to use the explain the theory of learning as support pointing, use the film adaptation of the novel as a starting point, makes an understanding and adaptation of the historic links between the main body, and analies of film director on the subject of adaptation of the novel:Why to adaptede? How to adapt? Effects of adaptation? The third chapter, though the "Red Sorghum", gets a grasp of Mo Yan on an understanding the real world, and this novel assimilative and intrinsic expression. And further analysis of why and how the director Zhang Yimou adapted Mo Yan's novel "Red Sorghum", after adaptation of the film "Red Sorghum," and how to performanted fusion on time perception, the understanding of life between Mo Yan and director Zhang Yimou. Summary section, according to the hermeneutic concept of understanding the adaptation of such a film what impact would be on the director, novels, movies.
