As one of the important forms of carrying out the Communist Party's mass line in a particular period, the mass movement refers to a kind of practical activity with specific value orientation and strong political sense and joined in by a large number of people, including peasant movement, youth movement, women movement, cultural educational movement etc. In the period of the Anti-Japanese War, the active and dynamic mass movement in the Jinjiluyu area not only strengthens and develops the basement itself, but also contributes a lot to the triumph in the anti-Japanese war.The thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter one is a brief introduction of the foundation and development of the base of the Jinjiluyu area, thus, defining the region and range of time in this study.Chapter two offers a detailed and thorough description of the peasant movement in the Jinjiluyu area, which includes armed peasant movement, the village government reform movement and economic construction movement in the countryside. The economic construction movement includes reduction of the tent and interest rates, agricultural construction, coordination and cooperation in the agriculture, and great production campaign. The three kinds of mass movement in the Jinjiluyu area contribute a great deal to the fight against the Japanese, expand the national united front of anti-Japanese, as well as improving people's life and consolidating the bases for anti-Japanese.In chapter three, a brief introduction of the youth movement and the children groups in the Jinjiluyu area is offered. The youth movement goes through three periods, starting in the period from July in 1937 to 1938, growing in the period from 1939 to 1941, and developing in depth from 1942 to 1945. The young people, including intellectuals, students and young people working in the fields of agriculture and industry, under the leadership of the local government, play the essential role in the anti-Japanese war and developing the particular area. As one active part of the mass movement, the children groups play an important role in the process of resisting the enemy and constructing the base.In chapter four, a description of the women movement is presented. The women in the Jinjiluyu area, under the leadership of the local government, make a great contribution to the war of resistance against the Japanese through taking an active part in the area construction, at the same time, emancipate themselves to some great extent.Chapter five is about the introduction of the cultural and educational movement in the Jinjiluyu area. The movement includes school education, social education, officials education, and plays movement in the village, through which some officials in urgent needs are cultivated, and the sense of resisting the Japanese is strengthened and the literacy level of the mass is much improved, thus the mass movement is further and deeply propelled.Chapter six is about the valuation of the historical function of the mass movement in the Jinjiluyu area. The mass movement has a great and deep effect on the local area in political, economic, and social fields, such as the change of the economic relations and the recovery and development of the economy in the countryside, the peasants'grasp of the political power, and the great change in the other sides of the society and so on. At the same time, the dynamic and active mass movement in the Jinjiluyu area plays a significant historical role in the anti-Japanese war. What's more, the experiences formed in this particular period are developed and richened in the War of Liberation and offer instruction to the mass movement after the foundation of the country. However, in the period of socialist modernization, the Communist Party's relying too much on the mass movement bring serious and severe harm and damage to the Party, the people and the country.
