This thesis analyses from the perspective of Badashanren's life, culture and archaeology, and it demonstrates that the firebird image drew by Badashanren is rosefinch, phoenix, from the aspects such as paintings, five elements orientation, and mythology.I think that Badashanren uses symbol metaphor to describe the images of various firebirds. And from this perspective I demonstrate the relations between the image of firebirds and phoenix, rosefinch, from Badashanren's paintings. Besides, it dates from Chinese traditional cultural art, and I draws the conclusion that the birds drew by Badashanren is Rosefinch, Phoenix. This acts of Badashanren implicit his love and memory of Ming dynasty, because phoenix is the symbol of sun and brightness in the Chinese traditional culture. And based on traditional Chinese Five Elements theory,I explain Badashanren repeatedly characterizing firebird image shows that he struggles with reality, which is fire restricting metal, because the Qing Dynasty also known as Later Jin.
