A Study On The Usage Of "Zero Translation" Foreign Language Letters In Chinese News Newspapers

With the deepening of globalization and informatization, a large number of lettered words in foreign language has been absorbed into Chinese in the various fields of social life, which enriched the language life of people, and affected the health and development of Chinese language, by reason of the use of non-standard phenomenon. The healthy development of the language can’t do without specification. As the standardization of language, practitioners of newspapers should play an exemplary role in the standardized use of lettered words in foreign language. Therefore, this paper selects "Youth Daily"——authoritative newspapers to youth as the main object of China ——as a sample, exploring the usage of lettered words in foreign language of zero translation.Firstly, the paper describes the background and significance of the topic, defines the necessity of this research, and analyzes China "Youth Daily" as a sample of the feasibility.Secondly, the reports about the phenomenon of "zero translation" leads to the concept of "zero translation". On the one hand, from the theory of "zero translation" foreign language letter words, discusses the definition classification. On the other hand, in the practice of the "Youth Daily" reported China in case study "situations in dynamic process in the use of zero translation foreign language letter words", put forward the problems in the application.Again, starting from the purity of the Chinese language, the relation of "zero translation" foreign language letter words and the purity of the Chinese language is discussed. At the same time, analysis of the "language attitude and the reason of zero translation foreign language letter words" mechanism, in the press of people have held, concluded:"zero translation" to foreign language letter words language attitude should be cautious.Finally, the necessity of standardization of lettered words in foreign language of "zero translation" has been defined. The article affirmed the efforts of standardization of both parties from two aspects——the state and the press, also pointed out several aspects should pay attention on. The article believes that, only by shouldering the shoulder and the coordination of efforts of both parties, the language specification is able to feasible.
