The arts keeps changing and developing with the development of society, and every single change in the economic infrastructure or the superstructure of each society would inevitably lead to the shock of art in that era."Cultural Revolution"was the years flooded with politics. People were drowned in the sea which was characterized by red:"Red Flags","Red Armbands","Red Quotations", etc. The hearts of the public were stirred by the sounds of slogans endlessly, such as"Four Olds","Great Criticism"and"Praise the Great Leader". After the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945) and the Revolutionary Civil War, people threw their fiery passion into the Cultural Revolution and strived for the cause of communism. Glazed porcelain, the Chinese traditional art which has a history of nearly one thousand years, has undoubtedly undergone great changes with the social passionate turbulence.Due to the particular background, the art of glazed porcelain shows an artistic style different from the ones of any other periods. During the whole ten years of the Cultural Revolution, the creation of the glazed porcelain art works was characterized by the bright political colors and dominated by praise and criticism. Intense colors, conceptualization of character images and stereotyped creation modes are all its characteristics. Because of the distinct political factors, the glazed porcelain art didn't develop healthily following the planned road during the Cultural Revolution, while there was an"abnormal"splendid blossoming on the development road of the glazed porcelain art.
