Bellini is a famous Italian opera playwright in the first half of the 19th century,he is also famous for creating operas which take females as the leading role as well as their love and fate as the main line.This thesis discusses the artistic means and music style through the images of three heroines Norma, Amina and Elvira in his three representative works"Norma""La Sonnambula", and"Puritan"in order to give the singer a deep knowledge and understanding of Bellini's operas and better illustrate Bellini's works.This thesis consists of four chapters:The first chapter is the brief introduction of Bellini's life and the composing of his three operas.The second chapter analyzes the characters through the dramatic image of heroines in the three operas.The third chapter is the focus of this thesis,which analyzes Bellini's artistic means and music style through music images of heroines in three operas.The fourth chapter takes three representative arias of three heroines for example to talk about my experience in singing.
