Nowadays, with the rapid development of economy, advertising has been playing a more and more important role in our social life. Researches on advertising language have been received more attention, and predecessors have made great achievements. However, it is rare to find such individual researches on special word class in advertising language for particular kind of product. So the Mouth VPs and Hand VPs would be investigated by this study. This thesis takes a quantitative and qualitative research method, and researches the potential Mouth VPs and Hand VPs in alcohol ads on the ground of emerged ones. In addition, this thesis designs a series of questionnaires, aiming to predict the emerging impossibility and surviving prospects of the potential Mouth VPs and Hand VPs. On the ground of the questionnaires, this study chooses the VPs having good surviving prospects, and establishes families of Mouth VPs and Hand VPs. In addition, the families represent information of the products and the attitude of the costumers in some extent, so it has some Reference value for the advertisers and costumers.
