With the rapid development of modern society and technology, intensive destructions have been done to our nature as well, in which we all surviving and living becomes even worse. This chamber music works, "listen to the wind", is to express a desire for human beings in harmony with our planet and nature, compatible with our living conditions.The inspiration and composition thinking of this works are:to choose those characteristics western China music elements, under the chamber music performance form, play by the Zhong Ruan and the Hand Drum (45cm diameter). These two instruments have familiar features of point-like voice, sound soft and deep, vigorous and transparent. Through the use of various pitch, rhythm, timbre, dynamics and other musical elements, which build the whole works' organization in multiple angles and levels. Thus, the music language of this piece is represented as much integrity as possible and chasing for the unity of "Qi" and "Dao", material and spirit.The works composition techniques are mainly emphasis on multi-level and multi-angel tones, by comparing with the traditional mode, it uses consecutive tuning pitch to form its overall structural strength characteristics. In the 3rd chapter of this paper illustrates the composition skills of the works structure and musical elements of design and performance respectively, summarized as follows:Pitch organization, two degree four column core pitch-based, with a sound set of the tune collection and other techniques to build pitch layout horizontally and vertically; rhythm organization, core rhythm cells basis, using a variety of techniques to control the sound time of length, using periodic and aperiodic movement to patterns the rhythm in and out of place, so that the contrast between the rhythm, superimposed and confrontation, showing a more detailed and rich vocabulary of musical rhythm; sound organization, through dig deeply into the Zhong Ruan and the Hand Drum sound nature, using pure tone and multi-line style sound combining overlay techniques to construct the sound organization and its architecture; force organizations, in different paragraph and nodes, the use of force interlude, intensity contrast, extend etc. practice the music more expressive, rich and moving.By applying above elements and techniques, various paragraphs are based on different musical elements as a centre throughout the musical process, which gradually formed the structure of the whole works.
