| Joseph schwantner(1943-)is one of the most influential composers and educators in the American music world. His works not only contain rich rational speculation, but also are perceptual and audible. In the late 1980 s,schwartner was deeply influenced by minimalism.Although the creative materials were simplified, the timbre and sound effects of his works were still full and personalized, which had high research value.Luminosity,a symphony orchestra, was created in 2014.This paper mainly studies luminosity from four parts:pitch characteristics, rhythm characteristics, timbre and sound characteristics, and musical form structure characteristics. It is divided into four chapters: the first chapter analyzes the pitch characteristics of luminosity from two aspects of tonality construction and tonality deconstruction, and explores the juxtaposition characteristics of tonality construction and tonality deconstruction of luminosity; The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of the rhythm of luminosity from the two aspects of "circularity" and "non circularity",and explores the collision characteristics of the "circularity" rhythm and "non circularity" rhythm in luminosity; The third chapter analyzes the timbre and sound characteristics of luminosity from the two aspects of cohesion and dispersion, and explores the blending characteristics of cohesion and dispersion in the timbre and sound of luminosity; The fourth chapter analyzes the structural characteristics of the musical form of luminosity from the two aspects of inheritance and development, and explores the structural characteristics formed through the inheritance and development of the traditional musical form principles in the musical form structure of luminosity; The conclusion part summarizes the research results of the above four chapters, draws the conclusion that schwartner adopted a diversified and integrated creative concept in the creation of luminosity, and studies the influencing factors of schwartner’s diversified and integrated creative concept in combination with the contemporary cultural trends in the United States and even the world. |
