| This dissertation, which covers a period starting from flute education at Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1927 to 2007. The study consists of three stages:1927-1945, 1946-1976 and 1977-2007, and the contents include teaching materials, teaching methods, students and academic exchanges. By means of collecting source materials, field research and interviews, the author discusses a history of flute education, provides analysis on teaching problems into different backgrounds and draws conclusions on flute playing and teaching during the past eight decades. |
