A Comparative Study Between The Chinese Aspect Markers "Zhengai(正在)" And "Zhe(着)"

"zhengzai((正在)"and"zhe(着)"are important symbols in Chinese progressive aspect category. This article will analyze the following issues from the aspects of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. There are 1)the syntactic position of these two words in the relevant format; 2)the collocation with time words; 3)whether they can modify modal verbs and negative adverbs such as "bu(不)"and "mei(没)"; 4)the situation of co-occurrence with preposition phrase; 5)the catogories of these two words together with complement; 6)the collocation with different verbs; 7)semantic orientation and stylistic by comparing the use of these two words in the above aspects, the author will summarize the common and distinctive features, then, the artical will discuss how could we apply the knowledge to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
