On The Japanese Factor In The Sino-American Relations At The Beginning Of The 21～(st) Century

This thesis tends to survey the influences of Japan as a factor in the Sinomerican relations to develop them. The conclusion is: with the growing consciousness of selfependence, Japan is heading for its goal to be a olitically great power for this, Japan will adjust it policies to develop balanced diplomacy with both America and China. The situation, in which China is contained by the coalition of Japan and America, is broken. The relations between these three countries will get balanced development. Taking advantage of this, China should reconstruct its diplomatic strategies. Section two, three and four are the main parts with an emphasis on the later two. As the basis for the following analyses, section two is mainly about the evolution of the Sinomerican relations with Japan as a factor effecting in it. It illuminates why Japan has transformed its subordinate strategies to the selfependent strategies and how this transformation has influenced the Sinomerican relations as well. In section three, after analyzing the growing importance of Japanese factor as a result of the coalition of Japan and American, this section goes further to analyze the influence of it to the Sino-American relations. The author predicts a balanced triangular relations in which the Sinomerican relations will get a development. Section four is a vital part, which devotes to analyzing the influences of the factor of Japan to Sino-American relations at the beginning of the 21st century. It points out that China should have a clear sense of its position when establishing its strategies towards Japan and America. It also puts forward some policies, which include: making best use of the triangular system to promote a balanced development; employing various diplomatic methods to realize the constructive strategic partnership between China and America.
