From Japanese government’s ‘buying island’ event on, under combined action ofnew and old factors, the relationship of Sino-Japan emerges changes. Firstly, thedisputes around the sovereignty of territory and interest of ocean between two countriesare becoming warmer and warmer. The sovereignty of territory is uniqueness andexclusiveness, and almost impossible to address in all-win and non-exclusive ways. Andat the same time, the affiliation of Diaoyu Island makes the issue of Sino-Japan relationseven more complex. Secondly, historical revisionism attitudes of Abe’s government toWWII aggravate the conflict on historic recognitions between Japanese and othercountries, which deeply hurt feelings of victim of China, against the principles and spiritof political documents between China and Japan, and shake the political foundations ofSino-Japan relations. Thirdly, the economic and trade relations of two countries becomeworse continuously. The phenomenon of cold politics and hot economy after ‘buyingisland event’ was changed into double “cold”. Fourthly, the antagonism of security anddiplomatic relations between China and Japan is growing. On July1,2014, Mr. Abe’sgovernment officially decided to amend the constitution, the ban on collectiveself-defense, abandoning the post-war foreign policy of ‘peace’. In the field of foreignrelations, Japan actively promote ‘globe diplomacy’, intended to contain China. TheChinese government has targeted restructuring the state oceanic administration, in thewaters off the Diaoyu Islands to establish normalized cruise system, the exercise of theexecutive, declared the Diaoyu Islands sovereignty. Overall, the current Sino-Japanrelations of cooperation in the hit, the basis of antagonistic factors on the rise, this is thenew changes of bilateral relations.A combination of many factors led to these changes between China and Japan. First, the influence of the US’s Asia-Pacific rebalancing strategy. Although the United Statesis the outside power in northeast Asia, it has strong effects on the area of international relations. The Japanese government is to see the ‘Asia-pacific rebalancing’ strategydirected at China, actively looking for Japan’s national strategy the correspondence ofAsia-pacific rebalancing strategy, with the United States to find corresponding strategyof Japan’s role in the United States. Take this opportunity to the Japanese governmenthas lifted the ban on collective self-defense, tried to get rid of the postwar system, realize the return to ‘normal state’ political ideal. Second, the rise of China and Japan’srelative decline caused the change of the power relations between China and Japan.Economically, China’s reform and opening up released the strong economic momentum, and China presents the geometric level growth, while Japan is in great crisis, hard torecover. Widens the trends in military aspect, in2013, China’s military spending was$188billion, was four times as much as Japan’s military spending. Three, new changesof Japan’s national strategy. Since the storm from buying island, Japan has alsointensified its efforts to get rid of the ‘system’ after the war, and intentions to become a‘leading country’. To become a ‘normal country’, on the basis of the US-Japan alliance,Japan is actively planning layout, the Asia-pacific diplomacy to achieve the goal ofcontainment to China.Combining the above analysis, I can make the following judgments on the futuredevelopment of Sino-Japan relations. First, the American factors will affect Sino-Japanrelations for a long time. As a global super nation, the United States has a wide range ofinterest and involvement reasons all over the world, also, the development ofSino-Japan relations also cannot ignore the influence of American factors. At the sametime, we should also recognize that the two countries’ attitude on China is not alwaysconsistent, maybe different, this also for China’s diplomatic work space. Second, thesecurity relationship between China and Japan will maintain the opposite situation for along time; this will become the new norm for Sino-Japan relations. In addition, due tothe consensus of the Japanese government backing out of the story, denied that theDiaoyu Islands sovereignty dispute, make territorial disputes between China and Japanconflict potential flashpoints. Three, the economic and trade cooperation to protect therelations between the two countries is limited. Admittedly, based on the industrialcomplementarily, Sino-Japan economic and trade ‘cold’ but not ‘frozen’. At the same time also to realize industrial complementary economic dependency for Sino-Japanesepolitical relations into benign channel is not decisive,‘political backlash’ impact on theeconomic relationship between China and Japan will become even greater.
