The Opportunities And Threats Of GDIC——The Plan Of Creating Guangzhou Venture Capital Company

The article consists of two parts: case description and case study. In the case description part, by introducing the internal operation status and external environment factors for Guangzhou Development Industry Company (GDIC), the article reflects the internal and external situation, opportunities and challenges for GDIC in adjusting its development strategies. The case briefly analyzes the urgency and necessity for GDIC to develop hi-tech industry, it also raises the ideas on how to develop hi-tech by constructing Venture Capital Companies. The case gives the problems to be solved by decision-making level, that is, how to evaluate the feasibility of creating Guangzhou Venture Capital Company and how to work out the plan for creating this company. The case study part, based on the background, information and questions in the case description, by applying the Corporate Strategy Management and Marketing Management theories, methodologies and tools, the author conducts the feasibility of constructing Guangzhou Venture Capital Company and raises a business plan for GDIC.
