There are two parts in this thesis: case and case analysis. The case tells about Hunter Douglas Building Products Co.; Ltd. (HDSZ), which is wholly-owned by Hunter Douglas Group, Holland, a leading producer of metal ceiling in the world. HDSZ was founded in 1994 to start business in south China. By 1995, HDSZ had successfully entered the market and received rapid growth in the following 3 years. But in 1999, HDSZ?s business dropped down seriously. Something must be wrong with HDSZ. In second part of the thesis, the writer analyses the reason of HDSZ 憇 success and the problems to which HDSZ is facing. The writer wants to testify that it is the competitive advantage that helps a company win in the end. The writer also puts forward a plan to solve the problem by working out new competition and marketing strategy.
