Several Problems Research On Foreign Direct Investment In China Under New Situations

With the reform and opening, China has made great progress in utilizing foreign direct investment. But since 1990, the situation for utilizing foreign direct investment has changed, it becomes an important topic to study the rule of utilizing foreign direct investment in such new conditions. So this thesis makes an inquiry into it based on my many years practical working experience. First the thesis introduces the development of utilizing foreign direct investment for 20 years in China from the point of practice and theory. Then the thesis elaborates the new situations for utilizing foreign direct investment and brings out some suggestions. The new situations include the knowledge economy time, China entering WTO, state- owned enterprise reform, and development of the west of China. Under such situations, utilizing foreign direct investment has changed in invest amount, forms, fields, policies and management. In the last and the most important part, the thesis brings out some suggestions on four hot issues of utilizing foreign direct investment in detail, that is, utilizing foreign direct investment and maintaining economy safety, how to meet the request of entering WTO, government role in utilizing foreign direct investment, and the management based on laws. Though I make great efforts in finishing the thesis, the arguments may be plain and not appropriate, please give your opinion about them.
