Analysis Of The East Asia Pattern At The Beginning Of The New Century

At first, this article discusses the meaning, the origin and the developing process of the East Asian Pattern, on basis of which it gives a brief account of the main features of the pattern. Secondly, as to the developing prospect, it states both the favorable and unfavorable terms, and according to the analysis of the American New Economy, it points out that the East Asian Pattern should, not only conforms to the general trend of world economy at the beginning of the new century, but also develops competitive edge from the integration of the global economy. After that, in a historical and practical perspective, during the process making adjustments and advances to the East Asian Pattern, it approaches the new countermeasures as follow: increasing the coordination of world economy, regulating and improving the developing strategy of the pattern, enhancing national strength, maintaining the economic safety of the East Asian countries, and establishing the macroeconomic control system and the scientific & technological system with East Asian characteristics. Finally it analyses the influences brought from the pattern on China, believing that it brings China the chance and the challenge, as well as urging for suitable countermeasures for China to make.
