With mankind society stepping into the 21st century, important renovations appeared everywhere and market competition is gradually severe. The pressure of competition forced the enterprises to review their performance appraisal systems. Some new performance appraisal methods are used in China and other countries, but most of them aim at the whole enterprise' performance. The problem how to evaluate the performance of operation system and bring it into the management system of enterprise are still remained in suspense. Moreover, the problem that how to make the advanced performance appraisal methods of other countries to keep with the socialism market economic systems in China still need to study.In the paper, the subject on sophisticated performance appraisal about operation system is studied, and a new performance appraisal model that fits our socialism market economy system is set up. The new model bases on advanced theories and enterprises' experience. It is objective and can be widely used in many operation systems. The model is not only practical for performance appraisal about operation system but also valuable for the research of performance appraisal theory.The paper consists of six chapters. In the first chapter, the status quo about performance appraisal research is reviewed. In chapter two and chapter three, the theory and technique about sophisticated performance appraisal is discussed. Making use of advanced theory and technology, and basing on domestic enterprises' practical experience, the index system about sophisticated performance appraisal is set up in chapter four. Noticed the characteristics of the operation system, the indexes about investment, funding, marketing, profit are not included in the appraisal index system. While the financial indexes are playing an important role, the non-financial indexes are widely used in this paper. The fifth chapter is about the process of mathematics model designing and case analysis. In this part, the concepts of equal-performance surface and equal- performance curve are given out and a new mathematics model of sophisticated performance appraisal is designed. At the same time, a useful number- diagram tool for performance analysis called "sophisticated performance analysis graph" is designed. Through that graph, the managers can receive a great deal of qualitative and quantitative message. The last chapter is about the conclusions.Chapter four and chapter five are the main parts of the paper. In these parts, the main new ideas are included.
