Recent years, logistics, taken as "third profit resource", has been developing rapidly. Lots of physical distribution centers were established to improve the efficiency of goods flow by large factories and commercial firms. Meanwhile, considerable sum of transportation corporations, storage enterprises and shipping companies are taking on business of third party logistics. The distribution business is now flourishing. How to low distribution cost is concerned.Elaborating on the knowledge of physical distribution, this paper attempts to take delivery routing and inventory as the two core problems for further research. On the delivery routing problem, first, different vehicle routing problems of delivery are classified according to their complexity. Second, in terms of the restrains and objective, an optimal integer-scheduling model on typical VRP is introduced. Following it, a mixed algorithm of heuristic-insert is put forward, which can add constrains flexibly and reach satisfactory compromise between calculation time and precision. Finally, a case verified the efficiency of the algorithm. On the inventory problem, after analyzing the drawback of traditional distribution way in which the supplier deliver goods according to the orders from demander, this paper introduces a new distribution way, in which the customs' inventory is managed by the vendor. Being aims at looking for the optimal distribution policy, this paper put delivery routing and inventory control into consideration jointly, and brings forward an IRP model and its algorithm. Consequently, results from the case proved the availability of the model and its algorithm.Because of the prosperous future of logistics development, computer aided delivery system will be of great necessity. Base on practicality and flexibility, primary design of the system is worked out in this paper.
